Day 1: Travel to Gettysburg
Depart your school. Arrive at for Glen State Park for a guided walk on the gorge trail. Nest, off to Hershey PA for your tour of the Hershey Factory. See how your favorite chocolate is made on their interactive and fun tour of the Hershey Facility. Eat lunch en route. Arrive in Gettysburg and eat dinner as group. In the evening participate in a guided ghost tour of Gettysburg. Your knowledgeable walking tour guide knowledgeable guides will take you through sections of town that were battlefields 13 decades ago.
Day 2: Gettysburg -> Harper Ferry
Explore the Battlefield’s with a Local Guide. Then off to the Civil War Museum. This museum tells the story of the entire Civil War, without bias or prejudice. Next, visit the Harpers Ferry – National Historic Park. Your group will the walk the picturesque streets, visit all of the exhibits and museums, and hike the trails and battlefields. Day 3: Washington
Rise early and visit the Fredrick Douglass House. Your student group will witness the and learn about Douglass’ struggle to abolish slavery and his pursuit of rights for all people.
Following your tour, make your way to Washington DC. Upon arrival tour the US capitol building, the Library of Congress, the Supreme Court and Arlington National Cemetery. Return to the hotel to Freshen up. Then, off to the harbour for a dinner dance cruise.
Day 4: Washington -> Philadelphia
Participate in a guided walk with your Studentkind tour director from Lafayette to the White House. Then visit the Washington Monument, built in honour of George Washington, who led the country to independence. Next, embark on a tour of the Holocaust Museum and the Smithsonian and participate in a guided Monuments Tour, including the Vietnam War, Korean war and Lincoln Monuments. Then off to Philadelphia. In the evening your group will enjoy the famous Lights of Liberty show. Day 5: Washington -> Home
In the morning tour Independence Park. Your group will then make its way to the United States Mint, the US Constitution Centre. Return to your school.
